This is just what we need. I find that all the other sections are overrun by the girls and that it doesn't really apply to myself. I am currently trying to lose weight to get to a repectable fitness level to play football again next year. how bout yourself whats your motivation.

well, my motivation is to back to be able to play tennis. i had quit playing it almost 7 years ago. i was quite good at it. but now, i want to get back to it. and that is my biggest motivation

Hey guys, just like to express my experiences , im 28, 6''tall, and as of 5/1/09 i weighed in at 122kg, after getting prescribed DUROMINE and eating no fats, salts, sugars etc its my 16th day and i tip the scales at 108kgs - awesome. I know what your thinking, its way to fast. But im a compulsive kind of guy,and if i dont see results quickly, i'll get disinterested and quit. My first goal is 100kg, then i want to get down to 85kg.
I just want to know your thoughts on weightloss, and what was the trigger that set you off and what drives you know.

DUROMINE isnt cheap, i paid $98.60 at one of those "discount chemists" , i think at a normal chemist you can pay up to $130
but what price do you put on things that work

Hi guys

Went to the doctors early December for the results of some blood tests. Bad news !! Cholesterol - Sky High!! Blood sugar - verging on diabetes. He told me if I didnt get it together i had a 40% chance of a heart attack or stroke within 10 years

I am 45 and 6' 2" tall and weighed 126 kilos..

Since then apart from a decent Christmas dinner I have eaten very sensibly. Exercise I still arent doing but walk the dog!! However I have in the past played a lot of sports and will be getting back to it soon BECAUSE

I now weigh in at a svelte like 112 kilos :D

All I have done is to stop eating food I like - and eat cardboard and low fat cheese LOL

Not quite - but no takeaways - no red meat , bread or potatoes in the first few weeks but maybe a small portion once a month now. Plenty of veggies, salad, lots of beans - not heinz  but natural beans if u follow me. Im not much of a drinker these days so I spose that makes it a little easier.

Firstly welcome aboard Rams..

I know exactly where you are coming from haaving been told I would have to go on medication if I didn't reduce my cholesterol back in 2007.. seems you have made a good start with your diet and exercise routines.. as part of mine I eat red meat, bread and potato's but in moderation which is probably the key.. but there's more than one way to skin this cat so waht works for you is the motto..

From memory this guys page doesnt get busy so I'd repeat your introduction in the relevent thread and let yourself loose amongst the gals on here.. they are pretty good fun and can give you a lot of advice and support..

Good luck mate..

Hopefully we can get this section moving a bit. Not sure how many males are here (haven't been here for a while).

Would I get a show of hands? Or is there no one at all. :p
