Diet Desserts & Chocolate Bars

Postby Cazza07 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 11:19 am

Im going with the low carb diet etc, but I have a very sweet tooth and cant completely cut out sweet tasting things, so I need to know is there any diet desserts/choccy bars that you can buy, if so, what are they called and are they readily available?

Thanks. :D

Hmm.. Furry friends chocolate is low calorie (because it's such a small piece of chocolate!) but good.

Nestle make some great diet chocolate mousse -tastes really yummy!

Cadbury have a diet chocolate.

Also, you can get atkins choc chip bars that are meant to only have 2g's of carbs.

I like getting the atkins bars. I can get a box of the Peanut Caramel Cluster bars for $2.95 from the local food clearance store. they still taste fine but are usually out of date. they just get a bit sickly.

The Pria bars that are in the Health Food section at Coles/Woolies are realllly nice. They're around 450-495kJ per bar, and come in Choc Mint, Choc Cookie, Fruit & Nut, White Choc Strawberry and Caramel. They are absolutely delicious! It's like a rice bubbly choc coated type thing, but they are surprisingly satisfying for a choc fix. My favourite is the choc mint :D They're good on sugars too!

I second Em's suggestion of the Pria bars. On special this week at Safeway for $1.69 each :) The peppermint is delish!

just be careful of the chocolates and lollies that have artificial sweeteners, if you eat too many, be close to a toilet!
