giving up sugar

Postby Nay » Fri Dec 28, 2007 1:28 pm

Hi all, I tried to do a search about topics related to sugar but it didn't turn up much.

I was thinking of cutting out refined sugar from my diet but didn't know where to start.

I cleaned out my pantry today and a lot of foods have sugar in them!!

My reason for cutting sugar is that it makes me feel like crap after eating it. I feel bloated, tired, headachey and irritable. I've read a few articles about sugar and believe it could be a good choice to cut it from my diet.

Is there anyone that could give me some advice or ideas?

I am horribly sugar-phobic. Like you, I also get really bloated from eating it. Yuck!! I don't eat bread/pasta/rice, cakes/biscuits and any chocolate/lollies that I eat are sugar-free (with occasional exceptions like christmas  ). Not sure what to suggest, apart from don't eat it!! Or, replace it with a sugar-free or low carb alternative.
