Chic Nuts

Postby bferbear » Sun Feb 17, 2008 4:50 pm

I am not referring to girls who wear flannos and drive utes, but to the roasted chickpeas snackfood item.

I bought the spicy tomato flavoured ones today and they are sensational. There was another flavour there as well which from memory was sea salt. It says it is around 160 calories per 50g serve although in my opinion that is a very generous serving size. I had a small handfull of them as a snack this arvo which I would estimate to be about 20g worth about 64 calories. I got them in the healthfood aisle at woolworths. Reasonably high in protein, fibre and potassium as well.

They sound yummy! My bf likes wasabi peas, which are reasonably healthy. I don't mind when he gets them either, because I can only have a couple before the wasabi gets too strong for me!
