What is Your Average Weekly Loss?

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I am curious.........particularly for those who are a good few months into a weight loss journey......

How much is your average weekly loss on the scales?

I know that the recommendation is 0.5-1kg per week for healthy loss, but I am still curious as to the reality........

So what is your average weekly loss, what impacts your loss figures, and are you on a specific program?

Hi Lucy,

I'm a slow one...I lose around .5kg...not a week - but a fortnight!!! It get's a bit frustrating :evil: but apparently the slower you lose it, the more likely you are not to put it back on..?!

I'm not doing anything spectacular, just using calorie king to count my calories, drinking heaps of water and getting in a minimum of 30 minutes exercise a day. I'd probably lose more if I pushed harder...it seems life sometimes just gets in the way?!

if i work my butt off im lucky to loose a kilo a week but generally it can take 2 weeks to loose a kilo

I have only been at this for 7 weeks, so im not sure whats the norm...(is there really a norm for ALL people?) but I listed my loss for each week...

(-1.9 kg)
(-1.25kg)
(-0.850kg)

I have been making a conscious effort since the beginning of December, and am averaging 1.6kgs a week loss over that time.

LOL, i wish I could keep going like that!!! I started following the weight watchers points, not actually registered or going to meetings...I do 30 min cardio in the morning before work, and try and do another 30 at night, either cardio, interval or some weights...no secrets here sorry :mrgreen:

hey big love
well i do need to start excerising mondays weigh in was terrible 200gs i couldn't believe it. an i'm not doing anything different.
maybe i just need to hang in there for a bit cause i've been sick with glandular fever an just got diagnosed for Ross river so i'm having trouble having the energy to get up each day with out excerising..... aaaargh. but i will not give up. Doc suggested lots of bed rest. but with hubby working away an 3 kids to look after i just laughed at her. Bed rest??? is she kidding??
oh my i am having a winge sorry big love. i was just ment to say thanks not waffle....lol

My average would bee 400-500 grams I would say. The most i've lost a week is 900 grams and the least i've lost I think is 200 grams.
Saying goodbye to calorie counting AND scales for a while.

Just enjoying the new and improved healthy me and embracing my new lifestyle!
