Help with choosing breakfast cereal

Postby qtpie » Thu Apr 03, 2008 1:45 pm

I love my just right breakfast cereal, it's a sugary one, there must be some better options out there than that, I once tried musli with dried friut and liked it for a while but got sick of it very quickly, I have also tried saltana bran but got sick of that too, Just right is the only one I can't get sick of.

Does anyone know of a better alternative that Just right?

I had the same problem, but now i get one box of something one week, and something else the next.
I compare the nutritional information to make sure i'm making healthy choices, and the variety keeps me from getting bored.

I am a bug fan of bircher muesli.

I get rolled oats and soak them overnight in apple juice and yogurt. Then I add grated apple, slivered almonds, dried fruit.

You can vary it to your liking but its so yummy!!!

mmmm I love Cereals!

I am dairy & wheat intolerant, so I find it hard to find cereals.
CRUNCHOLA APPLE AND CINNAMON
Thats sooooooooo good, it will probably be in the health food section.
Its like little clusters of oats with apple and cinnamon flavour, you can heat it up too.

OR

Uncle Tobys Creamy Honey Oatmeal Sachets
You just add hot water, and cause there is honey flavour already you dont need to add anything.
Its really low cal too, its only around 112 calories per serve. And because you use water you dont add in those extra calories.
So I add in maybe a banana or some fruit if I need more energy.

OR

1/2 Cup Muesli with 200g Low Fat Vanilla Yoghurt.
Mixed together this is soooooooooooo yummy! If you add berries its even yummier.

I love cereals too but I usually like the naughty ones!!

man, I am going to gain so much weight when we live there.. damn them.

Vogel's Soy & Linseed Ultra Bran is soooo yummy, stacks of fibre too!
The new Uncle Toby's Oat Crisp is yum too, bit sugary though...
Regular instant/quick cooking oats are much better for you than the flavoured satchets as they have extra sugars and stuff added in, they turn out not to be too great for you compared to the plain ones!
