i'm still trying to work out the best brekkies for me. i used to do fruit only, and while i did lose a lot of weight (the fit for life method), i find i need something heavier. for a while i was happy with porridge, because it is so filling. but i also find it bland and depressing no matter what i do to it, so i'll be full but wishing for something nicer. i find cereal to be too light.
the best brekkie for me right now is good old beans on toast. really filling but tasty, and really healthy too. lots of good protein, fibre and iron! i want to alternate that with a fruit smoothie containing frozen nana, soymilk, and maybe some ground seeds/nuts and protein powder of some description.
occasionally a small bowl of muesli with soy yoghurt mixed through. i have that for a snack sometimes as well.
