Postby ammuvava » Thu Sep 15, 2011 12:21 am

My body weight is 67kg.I think its over weight and I wanna reduce it to 57kg.
I'm from India.I'm veg and eat normally.Breakfast food is usually made of rice
flour or wheat flour.Lunch is rice with vegetables.Eat snacks with a cup of tea
at evening.Dinner is same as breakfast.Water consumption is very low.
Plz suggest me a diet plan to reduce weight.

It sounds to me like you are eating too high a proportion of carbohydrates. Rice is nutritious but it is a carbohydrate and as such it can pack on the kilos easily if you eat too many and don't burn them off.

Try to increase the protein portion of your diet. For example, rather than rice at breakfast, perhaps have an egg and milk dish, then a piece of fruit or some vegetables at breakfast.

At every meal, reduce your rice portion and replace it with a larger portion of vegetables. Make sure you include lovely beans and legumes, like chick peas and lentils. Also include a small serving of nuts every day. This is very important, especially for a vegetarian like yourself, as they contain some oils essential for the body, that otherwise are only found in animal products.

All the best!

As long as your calories out > calories in you will loose weight.

I eat pastries for breakfast and eat chocolate snacks with tea (and milk) mid afternoon and still lose weight by following the above principle.

I don't do lots of long drawn out cardio but I walk nearly everyday and lift weights 'a few times a week'.

The key to my success is definately controlling what I eat.
