Pumped water

Postby Ally » Sun Jan 28, 2007 8:20 am

Has anyone seen the new pumped water?? I had one yesterday and they are quite refreshing. They are 75 Calories a bottle (500ml) and they have mandarin or lemon flavour. they contain no artificial sweeteners. I found them really refreshing in the heat we had yesterday. It certainly is a lot lower than a tin of regular softdrink or the powerade drinks. Give them a try!!

Hi Kate...I really liked them as it was something different and it has just a hint of flavour in it......I thought they were really nice and refreshing, but I wouldn't drink them all the time. It was just really nice with the stinkin' hot humid weather that we have been having. They may not be everyone's cup of tea though....so to speak :P

I actually ended up drinking a powerade yesterday as I just couldn't drink enough water to sustain what I was losing. It perked me up really quickly, so it was worth the extra calories I thought!! WE have to get a storm here soon!!! this weather is disgusting!

HI ally yeah i think something refreshing like that is what you need when the weather is a shocker! sometimes you just want something whilst out and about that is thirst quenching but not water for a change.

You can get Powerade in a light version, with no added sugar - that's 66 Cal for the 600mL bottle. Only had one once, but it was alright. Haven't tried the flavoured water yet...

yeah I have seen that, but it has artificial sweetener in it and so I avoid it. I have a normal powerade when we have a day like we had a couple of days ago when you just can't drink enough water to sustain what you are losing, but I limit it to those days only and dont' need that much.

Oops, forgot about the artificial sweetner  It's good for replacing sweat though.... I always remember a send up of an ad that they did on Fast Forward or something like that: It "puts back what the sweat takes out... and tastes like it too!!"
