Lite & Easy- 1st delivery

Postby pixychic86 » Fri Apr 13, 2007 2:00 pm

Just got my first delivery of Lite & Easy 7 day 1200 cal.

Woah...theres so much more stuf in that pack then i expected! Lots of fruit and salad which is awesome.

And im really pleased that most of it stays in the fridge, not the freezer(i have limited freezer space).

And i was blown away at how big the dinner servings are- they are huge!!!!!!

So, starting tomorrow, heres to losing weight, and of course being more healthy!

my msn/email is [email protected] if anyone else whos doing it, or not, wants to be weight loss buddies!

yer, i might. well, if anyone else is wondering, you get heaps of little bags(all biodegradable) all labelled with which day and meal is it. example- day 1, breakfast, and whether u put it in the freezer of fridge. you get a weekly plan which u stick on the fridge, and it has it all mapped out what your having, and where to find it. like tomorrow ill be having-

breakfast- toasted multigrain muffin with ham & tomato and an apple.

the muffin is printed in red, so its in the freezer, and the rest is in the fridge, all in one bag, labelled day 1 breakfast. Easy!!!!

same with lunch-

thai chicken cakes with salad, fruit salad & cracker & nut mix.

the chicken cakes are in red, so they r in the freezer, and the rest is all in one bag labelled.

then i just pick one of 7 different dinners which i ordered, they are all frozen.

i havent even had any yet, and im advocating! lol.

ill let ya's all know how it tastes and wat-not tomorrow!

I just get the dinner meals, 14 at a time and use them when I am on afternoon shift. They are so yummy and filling unlike the lean cuisine which I always added bread to.

For the rest of the food I found I liked to pick my own fruit etc. and some of the things I just didn't like, like apricot yogurt.

But it gave me a good idea of what types of things to eat and now I just do it on my own. with a few dinner meals every now and then to help out.

Best of Luck with it. I hope it really works for you.

thanks!

yer, im doing it mainly for convenience, cuz im a shift worker.

i always find when i do my own shopping i tend to throw alot out at the end of the week. at least there is less waste with L&E.

and yer, i agree with the other frozen meals out there- too small.

pretty much everything i got this week i think ill like- the only thing im worried about is the black pears, but we will see! i am open to new things!

I thought about it ages ago but if I remember right I think the Salt content was a bit high.

im doing the full 7 day program, 1200 cals, and its $119 per week.

the price does differ per state though. im from QLD.

to me, thats reasonable for what u get- all your meals, all calories worked out for you, no cooking, all delivered.

Good on you Jess... I'm a day ahead of you mate (wait til you get to the satay chicken pizza yummo!).

the only thing im worried about is the black pears

Is that what they were? I thought they were plums?!?! They were yummy whatever they were.

Only problem I'm having with it is that I'm hungry between meals but can't actually fit the whole meal in. If I could cut it in half and eat 2 lunches and 2 dinners I'd be fine. And brekky is too small. Tomorrow I'm going to switch around breaky and dinner and see if that helps :D .

Hey guys, good to hear you are doign well.... the pears are fantastic - they are just normal pears (like in 2 fruits) with a rasberry kind of flavour).

I am just starting my 5th week on Lite N Easy - i tick off on the menu's what I don't like so next time around I know to order the other item.

I pay $129 a week, but that includes an $8 delivery which you can't get out of.

Enli - are you eating the snacks without the meal?
My day goes pretty much like this:
Breakfast 8.30 - 9ish
Mid morning snack - 10.30
Lunch 12.30
afternoon snack - 2 - 2.30ish
Dinner 5-30 - 6.30 ish (depends what time I get home).
If you can't eat the whole meal in one sitting, i would suggest just eating half and the other half and hour of so later.
If you are still getting hungry (sometimes I do too) eat some more fruit.... and make sure you are drinking heaps of water - that will definitely fill you up!!

It's good that you guys can talk beetween each other & give other & other people ideas. That is what this forum is all about..

Sound's really good though but It would be really expensive for me as I would have to do a shop still for the hubby & 2 children. & adding the price together would be a bit expensive. So for me I could't really do it.
