Is subway's okay?

Postby linda » Sat Nov 19, 2005 4:13 pm

Going to the flicks tonight, and we usually grab a bite to eat while we are out, and I have been racking my brains thinking of something I could have that won't kill my diet, so just wondering is subway's okay, or do they have a lot of hidden fat that we don't know about?

Even though bread can put on weight.
Just limit the amount of cheese, bacon and creamy dressings used as these can stack on the kilo's.
They have subs under 6 grams of fat.
Ask for mustard or vinegar instead of mayonnaise or oil.
If you have a lean lunch having a subway should be okay.
I wasn't keep on the tuna one but my son said the seafood one was good.

My favorite that I occasionally treat myself to is
a white, untoasted 12 inch Veggie Delite sub
with salt and a double helping of pepper,
but no onion, chilli or dressings, Yummo!

Hmmm.... I think the family are going subway tonight.

It is delish, isn't it? I forgot to say earlier that I also have the swiss cheese in my veggie delite.
I had a 12 inch veggie delite last night and it did no damage to my weight loss.

It doesn't affect my weightloss as such I just bloat up if I have to much bread. :)

Is Swiss Cheese low fat?

30g slice of Cheddar Cheese....10.0 grams fat
30g slice of Swiss Cheese ..........8.9 grams fat

Not really much difference, unless you're restricting yourself to 25 grams of fat per day.
