Food Nutrition Tables added to this site

Postby Scott » Fri Jan 13, 2006 10:51 pm

Hi all,

thought you might be interested in the fact that we've recently added some nutritional tables to

With these tables you can easily work out the kilojoules/calories of the foods you're eating as well as things like the amount of fat, sugar, carbs, etc that this food contains.

These tables might be useful for those of you who record your daily diet in the "My Daily Food Diary" section of this forum or for those of you who are keeping a private food diary at home.

As well as these tables, we're hoping to be able to add a search function to these tables so you can just type in the name of the food you're looking for and it will provide the information you need with the click of your mouse.

I'll keep you all up to date with the progress of the search function as it comes to hand.

In the meantime, you'll find the tables at:

Please let me know if you think these tables are helpful.

Scott. :D

Wow Scott, that is really quite brilliant!
I've never seen such a complete listing before, thanks so much.
I mainly keep a record of calories and fat grams used, so this will really help me. I can still get the fat gram totals from my Fats & Figures book by Karen Daly.

Oh my gosh  I thought I could catch you out and find a food not on the list, but nope, it was there, and to that I add I will never eat yorkshire pudding again.

Thanks Scott, a wonderful idea (again)!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
