Calorie counting.. huh!?

Postby luse_it_all » Sat Sep 29, 2007 9:12 pm

ok, so I've been eating less since I started the "life change" thing, and I think I've been doing well for my self.. so far! I am comfortable

I am trying to find something to stick with, as in a certain way of living and eating and losing weight..

I don't get calorie counting though.. the whole calorie intake and calorie deficit stuff.. am sure that's what I am doing at the moment, not intentionally though..

I apologize if this Topic has been raised before,, if so, please delete this one, but please refer me to it..

Thanx a lot :)

Hey! :D

My advice is if you don't like counting calories then don't do it. I tried so many things before I found that calories worked for me. We are all different, different things work for different people.

A brief explanation of calories.......

TO LOSE WEIGHT

Woman ..... less than 5 kgs
1,250 calories (35g of fat)

Males.... less than 5 kgs
1,500 calories (42g of fat)

Woman ...... need to lose 6-20kgs
1,500 calories (42g of fat)

Man ........ need to lose 6-20 kgs
1,750 calories (49g of fat)

More than 20 kg
Woman ...... 1,750 calories (49g of fat)
Male ....... 2,000 (56g of fat)

If calories don't suit you, you could try the Weight Watchers Core plan or if what you are doing is working for you..... STICK TO IT!

I look forward to reading your success story in the future.

hmm, so does this mean that my calorie intake should be 1,750 calories per day?

does that mean that i can eat anything as long as i stay in that range..

and how does working out fit into this!!

Okay.......

1. I watched my grams of at and calorie count...... 1,750 calories (49g of fat)

2. Yer...... you have to exercise. Sorry! For optimum results try to combine cardo with weight training.

The exercise connection is fundamental

3. What do you mean can you eat anything you want? Sorry, I am unsure what you mean.

Umm you can buy a calorie counting book, look at nutritional panel of your foods or go to this site to log in your daily cal consumption.

http://www.calorieking.com.au

It’s an awesome site to use
Start weight - 77kgs
Goal weight - 53kgs
Current Weight - 50.1kgs

No more weighing, no more scales. My measurement is my success at health. It's an investment I make every single day. My priority: be healthy!

I have started to use the calorie king website and am starting to figure things out. I found it a little confusing sometimes (and still do!)
It really surprised me what i used to it, i did an average day of my normal crappy eating and worked out i roughly ate around 3000 calories!!!! I was shocked hence my wake up call and why i am now trying to stick to around 1500!

I Love counting my cals!!!! I too use Calorie King nad it gets easier to find stuff afte a couple of days. Currently Im on 1200 Cal for 5 Days and one day i lash out and have 1500 cals.

Using cal counting makes you realise how much crap I used to eat and where i could quite easily eat over 3000 cals before i started my journey. Along with my cal counting im writing everything down so i can see how my diet should be.

For some people they dont like cal counting but i love it and would suggest any one giving it a go!!! Calorie King is helping me save me life!

You can get the Calorie king from news agents!!!!!! I love mine cost me 7 bucks best thing i ever brought!

Counting cals is daunting at the start because you need your book and pen everytime you work out a meal but in the end it keeps you on top of what your eating!

Let me know if you cant find a copy, would be quite happy to get you a copy at my news agent and post it to you!
