OK I'm back and in, will weigh in from tomorow but after seventeen days of excess I reckon it's gonna be messy!

Hmm... still 101 kg. But analog scale. So I noted a hint of the little pointer being somewhat below the 101 line than above... not claiming it yet.

I think this challenge i'll kinda make a chatty post in each week to keep some interesting discussion going. So continuing on from last week...

I've decided that getting yourself a good pair of running shoes is important. And there's no one solution for everyone. You basically have to go to a running shoe shop (e.g. Athlete's foot) and get them to get you to jump on that foot imagery thingy and then they can figure out if you've got a big arch, flat foot, and whether your ankle rolls outwards or inwards.

The reason why I know is because my shoes were a bit loose and they've lost all their grip and they're actually cross-trainers, but I went for a jog in them for only ~3km and then have had MASSIVE shin splints for the last 2 days and have only been able to do weights. So from a wanting to stay fit so I can keep exercising perspective I'm going shoe shopping tomorrow after work. Getting another pair of cross-trainers (with actual tread remaining) for squash and then some actual running shoes (don't know if i'm after stability or motion control yet - but I assume it's one of those two).

Diet this week has been pro. Have had cakes put in front of me during work meetings, and said "no thanks" without even thinking about it. I just imagine that the food is full of maggots and will kill me and that turns me right off. Then when I'm doing the food shop and going to grab some coffee (and they always put something tempting down every aisle e.g. chocolate biscuits right down the coffee isle) I just think that someone's put razors into those chocolate biscuits... then I no longer get that temptation feeling.

lol great idea. I hate pus so this week I am thinking all those pimply teenagers serving and cooking in my favorite takeaway places are probably standing over the food dripping pus in it eekkkkk.

Has anyone heard of the lose your belly fat workout program? It is based on interval training and seems above board. I found it on intervaltraining.net it has an eight week fat to fit workout routine for free that I am thinking of trying for my cardio. I can't run on the treadmill yet due to ankle and back issues (I'd really like to do the C25k program) but was thinking I could start it on the cross trainer.

Hey Rach,

Don't give up now, you are doing a great job!! It's okay to have something naughty every now and then but testing yourself to get back on the horse afterwards is the real challenge. Defeat that and you will be feeling on top of the world! Much better than the fleeting good feeling from a piece of chocolate :)

Welcome and good luck!! 8-10kg is definitely achievable, you just have to work hard and stay motivated!!!

Welcome to the forum and good luck Kez!!

Okay, so my usual weight in is Monday but I got too impatient and stepped on the scales this morning instead :P And would you believe it, I'm down to 86.9kg!!!! A loss of 1.3kg  Yayyyyy!!! I think I will be reaching May's goal of 84.55kg! :D

Hi everyone!

I weighed in this morning at 100.8kg, so that's a loss of 1.1kg this week. I'm quite happy with it! I have to say though, last time I was on Duromine I was losing about half a kilo a day, I don't know what's different now! It'd be nice to see those numbers again *sigh*. I'm doing way more exercise now though, so my fitness is improving a lot. That actually makes me happier than scale numbers! I'm doing the C25K - slowly, but I am doing it :)

My goal for this week is to not get my pig on this weekend. I'm going down to my boyfriend's house (he lives 150km away) and I always let any semblance of restraint go out the window down there. Wine, chocolate, big Sunday breakfasts - I just get so loved up that is seems wrong to concern myself with real world things like calories and saturated fats :p I have to change my attitude though, we might be moving in together in a few months so he'd better get used to sensible Kitty now!

Hope everyone else is having a good week!
SW: 121kg
CW: 96.4kg
GW: Less than I weigh now...
