many thanks for your reply bjam, that was very interesting reading

my goal is 60/63 kilos....that was my weight 3 years ago, it was a easy to maintain and a weight i felt very comfortable at, so if i aim for the top end of that range I have 7 kilos that I would love to lose.... oh and my height is 164cm (not overly tall, lol)

Interesting what you say about the 1200 calories being little/very little and that perhaps I should think about adding a few calories, I was going to go in the other direction and drop some calories this week as well as ramping up my exercise...hmmmm it really is very confusing isn't it, what to do, what to do???


I think I might sleep on it for a day or so, continue what I am doing and see if anyone else has any thoughts

I am also short - 161cm

just incase you want some extra info to go on for setting your cals you can have a look at this website:
http://www.fitwatch.com/qkcalc/weight-l ... ulator.php < estimates the date you will reach your goal depending on what calorie intake you set
you could also try putting your info into the lite n' easy website or myfitnesspal to give you an idea of recommended intake

look forward to seeing the other replies on this also as it is certainly the issue I have been facing and debating also :P

well done everyone for the fantastic work so far!!
i know this is a bit of a late post but i did weigh in on Sat with 63.7, a loss of 1kg since last week!
looking forward to this week, keep up the great work all!
