where's my fork?

Postby garn » Wed Jan 17, 2007 11:13 am

In the interests of silliness, i need to submit this...

i was patiently waiting for lunch to come along so i could enjoy my chicken breast and veges and bang....heat it up and there are no forks...

anywhere....

the whole workplace is forkless....

so now, in desperation, i eat my chicken breast and vegies with a teaspoon and knife...

oh woe is me...

on further searching....downstairs in the guys lunchroom, i located a stash of green plastic forks, some plastic teaspoons and salt...

these items were immediatly confiscated (along with a bottle of milk) and placed in a secured position...namely my draw for safekeeping...

just for general interest...my draw also has supplies of panadol, throat losengers, 2 bandaids, a cup with 1 cent pieces in it :? and dental floss....

whoo hooo what a stash!!!!!

Do we work in the same office

I have been seen eating with a spoon and a knife on occassion too - we have a fabulous dinner set, cappacino machine, lots of cups etc BUT NO CUTLERY

It is very annoying at times. I think someone actually steals them - it is the only explanation I can think of. But then again........... I might check some of my co-workers drawers....
Every day I am getting thinner and thinner.....

It's kinda like pens that dissappear (sp?) in an office... Small stuff has a tendency to find it's way into people's bags.

I can just imagine you eating with a spoon and knife!!! I always take finger food for work. I try to take healthy stuff like carrot sticks etc and that way I can just nibble on it all day. I don;t actually get a set lunch break so nibble while I work. So don't need to go look for a fork!!!

wow...who knew there would be such a response to the awol forks!!!!

normally its the teaspoons that go so you have to use the normal spoon to try and measure out the coffee & sugar!!!

Anyway...nothing much exciting happening here today. Except for the ironic fact that my company deals with FAT!!!!!

(Rendered Animal Fat and Vege oils that is)....everyone is on a health kick here at the moment so we havent had any morning tea temptations come through...ack...my b'day soon...perhaps i should just ask them to supply a fruit platter instead, any other 'heathy' ideas??

have a great day
anita :)

Good idea Kate....that always works well!!! In one of teh Symply books Anita there is a recipe for a "creamy" dip to go with a fruit platter....it is very yummy and you know that you can dip away without it being laden with calories and fat....I will post the recipe if you don't have the books, just let me know!

Another good one is making up mini quiches...these are a lovely savoury treat and are good for you too.

that ok...i assume there is one (or several) in every office...even i am guilty of the occasional missapropriation of office supplies.

I normally end up with a massive amount of pens in my handbag...then i complain that i have a massive amount of pens in my handag !!!!!
