What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Don't feel like you have to do it alone
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? I went to buy some jeans and only just fitted into size 26 and I thought 'where to from here?'. I have always wanted to lose weight but this year, not working, I piled on a heap more weight and was really starting to feel uncomfortable in my own skin.

What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Expect good and bad days and don't give up
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? My size 26 clothes were getting to tight and I hated myself in the family portrait that was done at my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary.
What do you like best about yourself? I don't judge anyone and am always there to help if anyone needs it.

State one goal that you will strive for: To finish this weightloss journey at the weight I want to be and not give up.

Do you have a pedometer/stepometer: No, but I think I'm going to invest in a pedometer soon
How long since you were last slim: Can't really remember, probably early teens, but I think I have always been 'solid' :oops:

What food plan are you on at the moment? (when I manage to stick to it) It's called "Emma's Low Fat and Reduced Kilojoule Eating Plan"
What can we do to help you on your journey? Send me a personal trainer, someone to prepare meals etc etc - nah just be an ear for me when I want to vent my weightloss frustrations
What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Don't expect to lose all your weight overnight (but if you do, let me know how you did it :D )
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? Seeing all the 'fat photos' of me and my daughter - I want happy memories, not fat ones

What do you like best about yourself? My usual carefree attitude to life

How long since you were last slim: I started to gain weight slowly starting in 1996

What food plan are you on at the moment? Karen Daly's 'Fats & Figures' book. I never eat over 20g of fat or over 1000 calories per day.
What can we do to help you on your journey? Just being here daily to let me know I'm not alone.
What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Think positive and never forget your goal.
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? Seeing a photo of myself looking wide.

Favorite "Me Time" activity: That's a hard call. I have quite a few personal interests and favourite leisure activities. Probably dancing and photography are the current top two. Oh I know...there is this little cafe not far from me that simply rocks and I love going there for 'me time' when desperate for a fast-fix of nice vibes.

About three years. I was quite slim for a while. Before that, not since I was about 18 (and of course, thought I was fat when I wasn't, like so many young girls)

What food plan are you on at the moment? No 'plan'. I like to borrow from all over...and beg if needed.

What can we do to help you on your journey? I just find this forum's existence is a great help.

What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Only lucky people get what they want immediately...and we all know how much we hate lucky people ;):P

What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? Ah geez...photos...seeing myself in mirrors. People asking me when I'm 'due' :(

What do you like best about yourself? I have an incredible determination about things I believe in. I am strong!
