How long since you were last slim: Well before now I would say in year 10 at school when I went on a high-protein diet.. lasted all of a couple of months before I put it back on!

What food plan are you on at the moment? Just kilojoule counting at the moment, trying to not eat too much crap. I don't eat any fast food and allow myself small treats :)
What can we do to help you on your journey? Just keep me going when I'm feeling crappy about myself!!!
What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Let nothing or no one stand in your way!!!!
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? When I went to buy some jeans and had to get a size 18, which I never thought I would have to do.

What do you like best about yourself? Probably my hair, when I can be bothered doing it :P

What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Do what is right for YOU. If you make the decision to change, just change things slowly - Rome was not built in a day!
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? Seeing photo's of me at Christmas, and not being able to fit into my clothes anymore....

What do you like best about yourself? That when I decide to do something, I stick at it until I succeed.
State one goal that you will strive for: Getting down to 65 kilo before setting myself a new target of 61kilo (as that will take some serious effort!)

What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? happened a while back my other half basically sent me a "funny cartoon" portraying a fat person said basically this is you and then broke up with me. I did eventually accept him back then the best revenge happened - he got fat too.

What can we do to help you on your journey? You're doing it! Advice, support and encouragement, that although my dh would happily give me - he has no way of knowing how - he's been skinny his whole life!
What advice can you give someone else on the journey? ASk for help when you need it. USe the resources availble on this site to get you through the toughest times.
What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? The realisation that I am putting off a Pap smear due to my weight - very dangerous 'cos I've already fought the battle with cancer once.

What do you like best about yourself? That I am always the first person my friends turn to for help.

hey dee i recently had my routine pap smear on time- not a nice thing of course but it has to be done and they found a lesion on my cervix- many weeks of heartache waiting for the results. its given my friends the push to go and get them done too because it scared the hell out of them.

just remember that the nurses and doctors have seen everything. and the way i look at it, ive had a daughter and have had many people feeling and looking up there throughout my pregnancy and labour! plus i would rather have the peace of mind that im doing ok and im not going to leave my daughter without a mother.

What food plan are you on at the moment? I am eating sensibly- I have never worried about what I ate- I used to eat junk food alll the time, but I am actually enjoying planning healthy choices. Muslie for breaky, wholegrain sanga or salad for lunch, chicken or fish with vegies for tea usually.

What can we do to help you on your journey? You have all done a great job in getting motivated and past the horrible 2 week itch where I usually give up, but its been over a month and I am loving the forum, and what I see on the scale!

What advice can you give someone else on the journey? Stick with it, it will beome easier and second nature to make the right decision.

What was your "wake up call" that led you to get serious about weight loss? Not fitting into my clothes, which used to be my "big" clothes, and seeing some confrunting photos of myself eeeek.
