well......
over last weekend we had a very busy working bee putting up the new shed which is now all up except the flashings (edges and stuff). Also, the bloke's sister came down this week and we have started making my wedding dress and are about 1/3 the way there.

I am also supposed to be getting my PhD proposal ready to present on the 18/5/07. And this weekend we are going to the bridal expo and having some glamor photos done

That's why I haven't been on much.

And it's bloody cold at the moment here.

hasn't got much above about 13 degrees for the last week or so. But no snow or anything to make it worthwhile. AND it's not raining either. We were supposed to get buckets of rain this weekend, but it looks like that's all going to fall in Bass Straight, we've just had some poor excuse for drizzle for about 5 mins today. Apparently the Hydro dams are well down too. Hope it buckets this winter. I love rain.

the glamour photo was crap. very very disappointed and was NT paying $400 for 1 framed photo. And my bike broke yesterday - the bloke is getting me a new wheel today. Man I'm having a crap month. Don't everyone get too excited about the wedding, it's still ages away.

Bike is fixed and going like a dream - but weather is shitty.

Nope, the photos weren't even fun. Had to wait outside on a rainy day. On arrival the previous client was still there and had to change either in front of me and the bloke or in front of the photographer due to no changing rooms (poor girl). The bloke had to change in front of the makeup lady, I was luckily wearing the top I ended up wearing. No advice on what outfit to wear or even shots in different outfits, despite being advised to bring a selection, no advice on what color makeup or how to wear hair - in fact she asked me how I normally wear my hair and makeup. The bloke was pretty well ignored until I asked that his hair be done. No conversation, music, reading material. The photographer didn't manage to get a nice smile out of the bloke (although he takes some of that blame himself). Pressure to buy on the spot then the makeup was not removed (I was advised on request to go home and wash it off) despite assurance that it would be since they advised the makeup was not suitable for day wear - consequently our plans to go to the ABC open day had to be cancelled so I could go home and wash the stuff off. We were not happy chappies

well we did ring them the next day to cancel the order for a framed photo that we had actually agreed to and the bloke told them hat it was because we were not happy with it and felt pressured. To their credit they were happy to cancel it, although we are watching the credit card to ensure it is not charged. (I now have a rule not to buy something on the spot when they approach me rather than me shopping)
