Weight gain from disease

Postby Splat » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:33 pm

Has anyone else got a disease that causes weight gain??? I am so sick of being fat when previously I never had a problem! I had my second set of twins by c-section and left hospital size 11. Now I'm a size 26 and no matter what I do its getting worse!!! I have Hashimoto's disease and only now after 12 years have found a doctor who is willing to do the full bloods to check on my condition! I have had a doc drop my meds and stick me on steroids which added 40 kgs, to my already big body, over a short period of time! I would love to find out good ways to deal with this disease but unfortunately not many doctors know more than the basics. Any hints would be greatly appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!

Weight gain may accompany other symptoms, which vary depending on the underlying disease, disorder or condition. Symptoms that frequently affect the digestive tract may also involve other body systems.
