I got a Remington wet 2 straight for my last birthday. Ive found if i do it from wet it makes my hair more fly away and frizzy, but works great if i do it from dry. It cost $117 from big w. I have also found coz its so big and bulky its hard to get to the very top of my hair with it. I use garnier milk stuff. it works great and smells really good to.
I would love a GHD but unfortunately cant afford it. maybe one day..

I think i also have the wet to dry one :) but the skinny one hehe.

I find it works well on dry too, but works best when there is already a hair straightening product in my hair, it also doesnt damage it that way.

Not sure if I am too late, but I recently bought a new straightner from stefan. Theirs come in pink and black and are exactly the same as GHD, but half the price! They are $225 or $150 if you trade your old straightner in. They heat up in a few seconds and keep a constant heat too. And you can buy a thermal bag for $20 too that you can put it in straight away (which is good when there are little fingers around).

Ive never been big on going for major brands, but thats just me. Instead I went for a straightener by Ceramic Tools, it's Tourmaline, heats up in a few seconds, 220degrees or 230? I can't remember which, 40 heat settings. Looks great, easy to use. 108 dollars from Price Attack.

These are the results I'm getting from it.

I didn't have a decent before picture, considering I usually have my hair done and don't like to take pictures when it's not done.
But this is the one from this morning. Usually my hair is very wavy/curly, just as frizzy and coarse looking.

Then tra-laa! I love this hair straightener.

Tip to anyone who has a hair-straightener!! Invest in some Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide Serum. It's between 21 and 23 dollars, lasts a very long time and is available at some hairdressers and Price Attack. Settles the hair nicely, adds a nice shine and smooths strays and frizzies :D Definately worth the money.

Just so you're not confused by all the bottles:

Your lucky you can layby.

I bought my GHD from Oscar Oscar and they don't allow layby. But I didn't mind paying $300 straight up for mine as its definitely paid itself off :D .
