I've got some BioOil, but I've been too lazy to bother using it lol. Stretch marks aren't that bad, most people have them. After a few years they tend to fade themselves anyway.

Has it worked for anyone yet?

Postby Tina » Tue Oct 31, 2006 12:53 pm

I was just reading through all these posts and noticed that some were from December last year.
So did the Bio Oil work for anyone who got it back in December? Is it worth getting and trying?

hi tina

nice avatar :)

ive always seen bio oil advertised but never tried it. no matter what you try though i dont think that stretch marks ever go away- they still wouldve left that indentation in your skin *shudder* has anything worked for you?

Tried nothing

Postby Tina » Tue Oct 31, 2006 1:23 pm

Thanks (istockphoto.com - great place to find pics lol)

I haven't tried anything except wishing them away. I have them all over. The ones I really hate are on my underarms. I can cope with them on my hips and stomach, because pretty much they are always covered. It's just my arms I am so self concious about. I was thinking of trying the bio oil just wanted to have an idea if it was worth it or not.
So in the name of research for the forum - I shall start a trial of it and let you all know how it goes...

My flatmate has had several surgeries over the last 18 months and has been using bio oil for that on her scars with good results. It has faded the scars dramatically and made it less obvious and softer. I'm sure it would have to have some results with stretchmarks too 8)
[no excuses, I can do it!

Cool thanks for that, Slimmindown might have to use some. The ones on my back have kinda faded naturally, but the ones on the tummy are still nice and noticeable!!

Oh yeah Kate I am glad I had caesar with them....Christopher was 7lb 12oz and Abigail was 8lb.....man we breed 'em big up here in Central Queensland!!! LOL I could fit a dinner plate on my belly and there was still 2 inches before she went down and around!!! By 36 weeks I hated all doctors who said, "just hang on another couple of weeks darlin" AARRRRGGHHHHHHH!!!!

Well I have been using the Bio Oil for a few days now and okay I haven't seen any changes yet.

I am only using it once a day however, because as the name suggests, it is an oil. I don't mind putting it on at night before I go to bed, but I don't really want all my tops to get oily from putting it on my arms, so I don't really put it on in the mornings. If I don't see any results in a few weeks, then I will have to bite the bullet and start using it morning and night. And just wear old old tops for a while :D

many people say that if you use a moistoriser with a tanning ingredient in it , it will make the scars less visable.

Try Dove Summer Glow, Johnsons Holiday Skin and other moistourisers claming to do that stuff.

Only $7-8, so it not that expensive.

I use bio-oil every day and it works a dream. Ive been told that you cant actually see my stretch marks anymore. ofcoarse, I can still feel them, and dont be talked into believeing that anything will make them actually dissapear, because its simply not viable, however this oil is fantastic for making them fade. Mine were a shade of purple and silver after I had Hayley, now, as I said, I cant even see them when I stand infront of the mirror!
