Postby oostevens » Mon Sep 10, 2007 3:17 pm

ok there has prolly been another topic like this but i am kinda new so here is mine :)

i was wondering, if anyone knew of the best remedy for stretch marks.

I hate them! and i have a fairfew and would love to remove them!

Is there a cream? or something??

I am already drinking alot of water (if that helps)

Hate to disappoint ya Rach, but once you have them you can't make them go away    - wish you could though.

Although you can lighten them. My mother swears by Bio Oil. I'm going to start using this stuff as I have quite a few on my waist.

Hope this helps :D

yep nothing makes them go away. wait til you have a baby! LOL. mine have gone silver but they have left large indentations in my skin. ive heard bio oil is great, i used the palmers stretch mark cocoa cream whilst pregnant- smelt nice but didnt make a difference :P ive heard that having a tan makes it look less noticable

I dont think they're feral  Thrush is feral. Ingrown hairs are feral...stretch marks are just a part of life! kate is right, wait until you have kids!Ive heard ppl comment that it depends on your age etc as to how bad they are, I never had them before my son, Im only 22 and I have them on my belly, back, thighs, butt, inner and outer arms, shoulders (what the?? lol) behind my knees, everywhere they cover like 75% of my skin......I have tried biol oil which did work, but as a single mummy I found (probably just because I have sooo many stretch marks) that it didnt last long and it was too expensive to but a bottle each week.....*sigh* they are really not THAT bad! ;) hehe I jsut think of them as battle scars

I have them and they don't bother me. I got mine when I was pregnant with my son. So I have had them since I was 18. They are a reminder of my beautiful boy!

I had a friend who went straight back in to her old wardrobe after her kids, flat tummy and all. Here's hoping....
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

I went down to 45kg after I had my son, but I was 18 and breastfed for 13 months. Also was doing it all on my own without a car or anything so I was doing alot!
