Scars

Postby charlimc » Wed Sep 19, 2007 1:19 pm

Just wanting to know if anyone knows about and cream or treatments to help get rid of or lighten scars, i have scars on my legs as i was a big picker when i was a kid and when i got chicken pox i got it bad, ended up picking them and now left with horrible scars on my legs. i Wasnt to worried about them until i hit highschool a rumor went around that i was attacked by rats and since then i have been hiding my legs with long pants even in extreme hot weather because im so self concious.

doesnt vitamin e cream work?

apparently Bio Oil is good for new and old scars as well as new and old stretch marks.

You can rub it into the spots or put 4-5 drops in the bath :) which is my preffered way :p cos i get a nice bubble bath with bio oil in it.

You can buy the stuff from anywhere, priceline, chemist, woolies.

I have only just started using it :)

but before all this, i had a huge burn on my leg where i knocked boiling hot coffee when i was in high school, i use to put vitamin e cream on it and now u can barely see it (one part was only 1st degree burn and the other was 2nd degree, but i know they dont call them that now)

yeah thats my oppinion :)

one trick a piercer told me about was getting vitamin e capsules - you actually use the liquid inside the capsule. it's great for small scars (because obviously there isn't a lot inside a capsule!) but it's really concentrated.

other than that, everyone swears by bio oil...i just haven't got around to buying any yet!

i went to the chemist yesterday and they only had 1 thing for scars called Palmers vitamin E Scae serum in a 30 ml bottle its a oil should last a while, was $16 so hope it works..

Now my mission is to find something for varicous veins, some sort of treatment i spose.

We just got foxtel & I was watching a show how to look good naked. & they had a short topic on it where 100 lady's trial 4 product's for a month the 2 most expensive product no one would never buy but the 2 most product's people recodmend were number 1 parmers coco butter & number 2 was Bio oil but they were both marked at 49 & 46 out of 100. So slight improvement on the marks but didnt do the best job.

scars

My aunty gave me apricot seed oil..it was nutrametics brand in a tiny jar. I have had moles removed from my face and was self-concious about the scars so tried it. It helped fade the scar heaps.
