Raisin toast for brekky. Darren has disappeared at the moment - gone skiing of all things. The water must be freezing, they normally don't start training till late October early November. Lunatics. He's in the waterski club and the guys he trains with are a lot younger and keener and fitter and one of them just bought a brand spanking Malibu ski boat last year and probably needs to justify wasting that kind of money. Darren drools at just the word Malibu but I don't know why. Apparently it's the ultimate in power even though Darren's ski boat looks heaps nicer and apparently is a lot nicer to ski behind. I don't ski so I personally just don't get it!. I keep saying 'when I'm skinny I'll learn'. I was hoping this year but I guess not. Maybe next year.

Off to mum's for lunch. She's making fishermans baskets and I made up some tiramisu in brandy glasses (I love brandy glasses - they're so cute to serve sweets in). Probably not so diet friendly but hey - it's the weekend and we all know dieting doesn't work on weekends!

I've had tiramisu before but never made it myself and I was a bit dubious as to it's success but it turned out to be fantasticly yummo! That recipe's a keeper for sure. Super full now. I think I need a lie down. Our new neighbour has a big bark for such a little dog. I hope he doesn't interrupt afternoon nap time!

It's past lunch time and I'm hungry but I must not eat anything.
This afternoon around 2:30 my mother will be putting on her usual spread of delicious fatty foods, and if I don't eat her cakes etc. she'll somehow make me feel like I've put a damper on the whole fathers day afternoon tea.
This way I've left a little gap for me to eat something.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at mum & dad's, about 14 of us including her greatgrandchild.
Yes I did eat food I shouldn't have both savoury and sweet.
Then I had to come home and cook dinner for the family and my son Ricks girlfriend.

At the moment I'm feeling about as fat as Santa Claus. Now to watch some TV to finish the evening off.
