Healthy Pizzas!

These are so easy to make and taste so good.
Get a slice of mountain bread and cut it in half.
Dab a bit of water on one side of each half and then fold each half over to make two small squares.
I personally don't put any tomato paste on the base as it tastes nice without it but that's personal preference.

It is obvoiusly up to the individual what topping they want to put on but this is what I do...

I top it with low fat mozzarella or grated cheese, mushroom slices, onion, cherry tomato halves and capsicum.

I then top it with herbs such as garlic herbs, mixed herbs, italian herbs or herbamare.

Then just toast for approximately 5 minutes in a little toaster oven and the base comes out nice and crispy!

Tastes great!

Nice Recipe Shared by You.Right Now I am no the Diet.So I can't eat Pizza Form the Outside Because then Contains lots of Calories and FAT in to That.Pizza is My one of the Favourite Food.I Don't Eat pizza From the last Two Months.As per Your Pizza recipe I can Make it at home and Eat it.It Contains Very Low Calories So It's Good From Me.

sounds tasty :)

as I enjoy meat too much I would put on some shredded ham as well (with the fat bits chopped off)!

Healthy pizza also works really well with a wholemeal pita bread base. You can either have the small size, or large. The large is great because realistically the base only has around 240calories, and it fills a whole dinner plate and makes you feel like you are having a good hearty splurge when in reality - you're not!

My favourite toping is this;

Cut up pumpkin and sprinkle with smoked paprika and a little spray oil. Also cut up some spanish onion. Bake until both are cooked.

Spread tomato paste (I prefer the one that also has garlic and herbs in it) thinly on pita bread. Scatter pumpkin and onion on top. Then scatter a tiny bit of low fat fetta.

Bake for a few minutes before adding baby spinach leaves on top. Bake until leaves are wilted.

And there you have it. DELICIOUS!

mmmmm, I do something similar, except I put pretty much anything that will go on a pizza on the pizza. A bit like a mega mega "the lot".

tomato paste (or baked beans - don't laugh until you've tried it!), tomato, capsicum, mushrooms, ham/salami/tuna if I want to, corn, pineapple, onion, fetta, baby spinach, sun dried tomatoes, olives, sprinkle of cheese and herbs... It ends up looking like one gigantic pile of vegies! LOL
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).

Hi,

Toppings such as pepperoni and sausage add a lot of fat and calories to pizzas so choose several different types of vegetables instead of fatty meats. Some you may want to try are broccoli, green onions, hot peppers, mushrooms, olives, and zucchini.

However, if you still want to make a pizza fit for a meat lover, try lower fat versions such as skinless chicken and turkey or even seafood like shrimp. Beans are also good for adding protein and taste without the fat and calories.

Even dieters following a low carbohydrate plan can enjoy pizzas when using an alternative to ordinary pizza dough. Ingredients like soy flour, egg white powder, and polenta are used to make low carb pizza dough and there are also store bought varieties to choose from that you can add your own toppings to.

Which type of pizzas, you said a healthy. Try lower fat versions such as skinless chicken, butter and turkey. Beans are also good for adding protein and taste without the fat and calories. Use least oil and ghee, as much as possible.

Thanks Kristy..... for sharing a tasty Pizza to us on this forum, i will try it, according to ingredients as you mentioned, I think the taste of pizza is good, tasty and crispy , and healthy for health. Thanks for Sharing Recipe.
