Nestle Diet Mousse Layered Chocolate Sponge Cake- taken from womans day
serves 8 --- POINT value per serrve 1/5
prep 20 mins + 1hr chilling time
for this recipe you'll need to buy a 350g double packet sponge cake. You'll only need one cake for this recipe. The remaining cake can be frozen.
*1 x 175 bought sponge cake, prepared
*6 x 62g tubs Nestle Diet Chocolate Mousse
*3 tsp cocoa powder, sifted
*3tbs low-joule strawberry jam
*1/4 cup (60ml) water
*200g fresh seasoned berried
*cocoa powder, extra to serve
1.use a serrated knife to cut cake horizontally into 3 equal pieces. Set aside.
2.Combine the mousse and cocoa in a bowl
3.place the jam and water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook. Stirring, for 2-3 minutes or until smooth. Set aside
4.Brush each of the 3 sponge layers with the warm jam mixture. Place one on a cake stand. Spread one quarter of the mousse mixture over the top. Top with another layer of sponge and mixture. Top with remaining sponge. Spread remaining mousse mixture over cake to evenly cover side and top
5.arrange berries over top of cake. Place in the firdge for one hour to chill.
6.Dust with cocoa powder. Cut into wedges to serve.
