Bircher muesli is a traditional Swiss recipe which is very healthy and tasty.  It is the ultimate breakfast cereal that supplies many of the essential daily nutrients.  You can add seeds and nuts for some crunch, just keep in mind this will increase the fat content.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled whole oats
  • 1 cup premium apple juice
  • 1 pear grated with skin on
  • 1 cup 98% fat free natural yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp. sultanas
  • 2 tbsp. cranberries
  • 1 tbsp. crushed walnuts

Method

  1. In a container or bowl place all ingredients, mix and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
  2. Serve with berries if desired.
