Porridge is a great weight loss food because it keeps us feeling full for hours and can help us to consume less food throughout the day.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup low fat milk
- 1 tbsp. sultanas
- 1 tbsp. crushed walnuts
- 1 tbsp. cranberries
- 1 tbsp. natural yoghurt, low fat
- 1 tbsp. slivered almonds
- 1 tsp. brown sugar (optional)
Method
- Place oats and milk in bowl. Heat in microwave for 90 seconds. Take out and stir.
- Add the almonds, walnuts, cranberries and sultanas to the mixture and mix until combined.
- If a little gluggy, add a little bit more milk.
- Serve porridge in bowls and place yoghurt on top.
- Serve immediately.
