If you and your family like burgers, you'll all love these lamb burgers. They are high in protein, and low in saturated fat and sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups lamb mince, lean
- 2 tsp. mint sauce
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- Sprinkle oregano
- 1 small carrot, grated
- 1 tbsp. chopped chives
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 4 slices beetroot
- 1 multi-grain roll cut in half
- 2 tbsp. crumbled feta
Method
- In a bowl mix with your hands the mince, mint sauce, chopped mint, grated carrot, chopped chives, garlic and feta, season with salt & pepper. Divide mixture into half and form into 2 patties.
- Heat a non-stick fry pan, sprayed with cooking spray and cook patties around 4 minutes each side, with lid on pan if possible.
- Dress roll, only use ½ roll for bottom per person. Layer each roll with lettuce, beetroot and tomato.
- Place cooked patty on top of your roll, option to drizzle homemade tzatziki.
