Crepes filled with Ricotta and Orange Honey Sauce Recipe

These crepes are low in fat and are delicious, filled with ricotta and an Orange Honey Sauce.

As an alternative, you can substitute the ricotta with low fat cottage cheese, which is equally delicious and nutritious. Because it's also a good source of protein, this dessert will help you feel satisfied for the rest of the evening.

Healthy Dessert Recipe :  Crepes filled with Ricotta and Orange Honey Sauce

Recipe Serves:

This Recipe Serves 4.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 180g self raising flour
  • 250g low fat milk
  • 5g sugar
  • 59g egg (1 egg)
  • 250g low fat ricotta cheese
  • 280g orange (approx 2 medium oranges)
  • 20g sultanas
  • 15g honey

Recipe Method:

  1. Mix self raising flour together with milk, sugar, egg and using a whisk, mix well until combined. Set aside in fridge for 20 minutes.
  2. Using small non stick crepe pan over medium heat, grease lightly and place about ¼ cup of mixture into pan. Cook one side until bubbles show and flip over and cook other side for approx 1 minute or until cooked.
  3. Using rest of mixture prepare crepes, place on plate to cool slightly.
  4. Squeeze juice from oranges and cut up pulp finely, place in sauce pan over medium heat and add honey. Simmer sauce over low heat until thickened slightly. Set aside.
  5. Mix the ricotta together with the sultanas and fill each crepe with the mixture. Roll up and serve drizzled with orange sauce.
  6. Serve immediately.
