Caesar Salad Recipe

Caesar salad tastes great but typical Caesar salad dressings are often high in fat, so they're not so good for us if we're trying to lose weight. What makes this Caesar salad so good is that the dressing is quite light while still being full of flavour.

If you're not being too careful about fat and calories, parmesan cheese shavings can be added if desired.

If you thought Caesar Salad was off the menu while you are on a diet, think again. Just be careful not to eat too much.

Healthy Dinner Recipe : Caesar Salad

Recipe Serves:

This Recipe Serves 4.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 150g cos lettuce leaves
  • 2 eggs, hard boiled, peeled and sliced into quarters
  • ½ cup thinly sliced leg ham
  • 2 tablespoons low fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese shavings (if desired)

Recipe Method:

  1. Place cos lettuce leaves into bowl and arrange eggs over the top.
  2. Grill the ham in griddle pan or non stick pan and cook until golden brown.
  3. Set ham aside to cool slightly.
  4. Mix together low fat mayonnaise and whole grain mustard until combined.
  5. Arrange ham on top of lettuce and parmesan cheese shavings if desired.
  6. Drizzle with dressing and serve immediately.
