Chipolatas with Yogurt & Cucumber Sauce Recipe

Chipolatas originated in Italy and usually refer to small sausages made with finely ground pork.

These Chipolatas combine pork mince and lean veal or beef and can be served with a salad for lunch, or perhaps in a pita wrap with some salad of your choice.

Enjoy as a family treat or suprise and delight your friends when they drop by for a bite to eat.

Healthy Lunch Recipe : Chipolatas with Yogurt and Cucumber Sauce

Recipe Serves:

This Recipe makes 18 to 20 Chipolatas.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 250g pork mince
  • 250g lean veal or beef mince
  • 1/2 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons hot paprika
  • Salt and cracked pepper

  • Yogurt and cucumber sauce

  • 3/4 cup natural yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives

Recipe Method:

  1. Mix the pork and veal mince together well. Add the onion; ground black pepper, paprika, salt and cracked pepper.
  2. Using about 2 teaspoons of mixture, shape into balls. Place onto grill tray
  3. Cook under griller set on high heat for around 8 - 10 minutes.
  4. When cooked, place on toothpicks and serve with the cucumber and yoghurt sauce.

  5. Yogurt and Cucumber Sauce

  6. Mix all ingredients in a small bowl.
  7. Serve with the chipolatas.
