Vege Burger with Guacamole & Mustard Recipe

This burger is a healthy and tasty alternative to traditional lean beef burgers and is very quick and easy to prepare.

By grilling the vegetable pattie instead of frying it, you'll reduce the total calories of the burger which should be your aim if you're trying to lose weight. As well as adding healthy nutrients the guacamole and tomato add texture and taste to this burger.

Healthy Lunch Recipe : Grilled Vege Burger with Guacamole and Seeded Mustard

This Recipe Serves 1.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 vegetable burger.
  • 1 small ripe avocado.
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice.
  • Salt and pepper to taste .
  • 1 small tomato, sliced.
  • 1 wholegrain roll, sliced in half.
  • Seeded mustard, to serve.

Recipe Method:

  1. Cook vegetable burger on pre heated grill until golden brown or alternatively cook in non stick frying pan about 3 minutes each side (until golden brown each side).
  2. Cut avocado in half, remove seed and peel. Mash together with lemon juice and add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place tomato on wholegrain roll and place vegetable burger on top and top vegetable burger with guacamole.
  4. Serve with seeded mustard if desired.

Additional Comments:

Ready made burgers can be purchased from a supermarket deli.

The burger is also delicious with tomato chutney, so you can use this instead of the seeded mustard, if desired.
