Crumpet Pizzas Recipe

Crumpet Pizza is a quick and tasty snack that can be very filling, yet relatively light in calories and fat.

If you are watching your fat and calorie intake closely, choose low fat or reduced fat cheese, or reduce the amount of cheese used.

Crumpet Pizzas Recipe

Recipe Serves:

This Recipe Serves 4.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 200g crumpet (4 x 50g crumpets)
  • 80g red/orange capsicum, finely sliced
  • 80g green capsicum, finely sliced
  • 100g tomatoes (approx one tomatoes), chopped
  • 85g grated tasty cheese (reduced or low fat)
  • 40g mango chutney or tomato chutney

Recipe Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees.
  2. Spread mango chutney on crumpet.
  3. Layer tomato on top and top with red / green capsicum.
  4. Grate cheese and layer on top.
  5. Place in preheated oven and cook for approximately 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  6. Serve immediately.

Additional Comments:

For additional dietary fibre, choose wholemeal crumpets which are available in most supermarkets.

This snack can also be served as a quick finger food or as a light dinner, simply by adding a side salad.
