Here are the songs i work out to on the treadmil. i burnt them onto a cd and i pretty much know it back to front, they work well for me!

1. The workout song - Kanye West
2. Fat bottom girls- Queen
3. Family affair- Mary J Blige
4. The Joker (remix )- Cant remember who its by!
5. Sly- Cat Empire
6. Not Big - Lily Allen
7. Dont feel like dancing- Scissor Sisters

So that adds up to my 30 min treadmil runs and they are all great to workout to!

Eye of the tiger and the chariots of fire theme

but riding I don't really get music to listen to
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!

"You can't change the winds, but you can change the sails"

"Reach out and take control of what lands in your lap"

The Joker one I work out to goes like " Im a joker, im a smoker im a midnight toker, i play my music in the sun" (shudders at my singing voice) The young girl Lisa totally butchered it on Australian Idol not long ago.

Joker and theif is a good song too! I could pump some iron to wolfmother I think. Good idea! :D

it is originally steve miller band, but if you're listening to a modern version that's more "dance-y" it might be the version by fat boy slim?

I was just reading through, getting some great music ideas for my own list as well but thought i'd add in some of my fav's I love dancing/walking too.

Rhythm Is a Dancer, When the Going gets tough, definatley all fired up as well. From the LoveAcutally soundtrack - Jump (for my love) by girls aloud. Lift 'cause the biggest loser show has always been an inspiration and when I hear it, reminds me of the show.

One of my all time, inspiration song is (don't laugh) Bring it all Back by S Club 7. The lyrics are awesome in it! :D
Example: Don't stop never give up, Hold your head high and reach the top, Let the world see what you have got
Bring it all back to you, Hold on to what you try to be, Your individuality, When the world is on your shoulders
Just smile and let it go, If people try to put you down
Just walk on by don't turn around, You only have to answer to yourself.

I love it and Hold On by Wilson Philips. I just find these songs are great when i'm really needing some inspiration songs and the rest are just great to exercise too and work out too.

Looking forward to reading some more songs to boogey too.

Larrissa :)

My power walking playlist currently includes these songs. They've all got a beat that keeps me moving. I like being old enough to be comfortable with the fact that I have somewhat eclectic music tastes :D

Moving on Up - M People
Surf's up Tonight - Midnight Oil
Turn up your Stereo - Eskimo Joe
Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran
Dancing in the street - David Bowie
Float on - Modest Mouse
Hungry Town - Big Pig
The Size of A Cow - wonderstuff
Are you gonna be my girl - Jet
I love the Nightlife - Alicia Bridges
Lust for life - Tom Jones with The Pretenders
Brimful of Asha - Cornershop
Pump it up - Elvis Costello
Take me out - Franz Ferdinand
Block Rockin Beats - Chemical Brothers
A little less conversation - Elvis v JXL
The rockafella skank - Fatboy slim
Feel good inc - The Gorillaz

Now I'm off to download some of these other great songs so that I can mix mine up a bit. I got an iTunes voucher for Christmas and can't think of a better way to spend it than on some songs to help keep me motivated. Thanks everyone
Cheers, Mary

If I could find a ticker for measurements it would say I'm on the way from a waist measurement of 134cm to one of 70cm (currently at 129cm)
