Why do I crave nuts - all the time. I could eat a whole packet of slivered almonds in one go. Apart from not have them in the house, any suggestions?

Could you separate the packet into individual portions wrapped in glad-wrap? That way you could allow yourself one portion per day without going over your limit.

How quickly are you eating them? If you really savour the taste, rolling the nut around in your mouth before chewing and swallowing it, you may find your craving for nuts is satisfied with a smaller serving than usual.

Yep, that's what I used to do. I'd count out 15 (?) almonds and put them in a little container to take to Uni, resulting in one serve per day. Another recommendation I've heard is to put your portion on a plate/in a bowl before you eat, so you can put the packet away and stop when you've had your portion. Apart from that, maybe a time activated safe? :lol:

And almonds are actually pretty good for you anyway (in moderation, of course):
