Yes, I would need to walk briskly for 100km a week to lose 1kg a week, who has time for that. Two and a half hours a day, every day. As long as you do some form of exercise for your cardio and general muscle tone, say 3 times a week for 30 minutes, unless your training for something in particular, that's plenty, but exercise in general will not lose you a lot of weight. Good nutrition will.
I find people exercise hard, which may burn 1000kj, but then eat even more than that because the exercise was so strenuous, which can make you even more hungry. I hardly exercise at all, but I do physical work around my farm, probably overdid it this week cutting up and splitting trees for firewood, my loss this week could be bigger, but in relation to the work I did, it won't be much. Most of the loss will be from my diet.
My weigh in is tonight, then I post results Friday morning.
