On the 1st of January 2011 I weighed 153.7 kg. My goal was to lose 87 kg. On February 24th 2012 I weighed in at 66.6 kg...reaching my goal in 60 weeks.
I went from knowing nothing about weigh loss (I never even bothered to try to lose weight before) to developing a healthy lifestyle based on exercise and proper eating habits. When I started I was a cronic asthmatic with back pain and a belly hernia the size of my fist who found walking 10 minutes a challenge to someone who can run for a hour comfortably.
My goal now is to maintain my weight loss. This body of mine wants to return to it's former glory - but I'm not going to let it. The line in the sand is to always stay under 70 kg. So far - so good.
I wish I had found this place while I was losing. It could have saved me a lot of time and dead ends. Hopefully I can gather a few tips in my journey to maintain...and encourage others along their journey too.
