I don't drink enough water. I actually hardly ever get thirsty, even after I exercise I don't feel like much. I know it's bad. I'm going to fill a bottle now!

On water bottles, women be wary of drinking from plastic water bottles left in the sun, eg, hot car. Heard something about a link to breast cancer...?

I have only started on the water trail myself, a couple of weeks back. I just keep a lot of it in the fridge and as I'm home all day every day it's no drama to pour a glass. I clocked up 15 glasses yesterday but I won't be doing that too often. For me 8-10 glasses is enough and I can really notice the difference.

SW: 175.0 kgs.
CW: 62 kgs-Hit goal 12 September 2009.

I love this trick. I have a 1.5 L bottle next to me right now! I try to drink 3L a day, and I find that it helps a lot, and even doing just this, without going crazy with the diet, helps me feel a lot better! (Also its great for the skin, but thats for another forum!)

Do or do not...there is no try. :D

1st goal: 90 kg by 1/11
2nd goal: 80 kg by 22/12
3rd goal: 70 kg by 12/2

I think its to do with the thought that hey if you see water, it makes you thirsty and so you drink.

Same if someone mentions it or you think aboutit, you are likely to get off your bot and get it

talking of which i will go and get some now lol

if you feel thirsty it means your body is already suffering from dehydration so having a bottle close by gives your mind a quick reminder to drink before you feel it. I have 2 1.5L bottles which are filled at the start of the day and by the end of the day both bottles must be empty- i find i actully end up refilling one of them at one stage- i just seem to drink more now

I swear by this as well, I got 3 bottles, one at work, one at home and the otha is for the gym... I end up getting in around 4L a day this way!!!

I manage to make it through about 1.5 liters during my workouts, but I know I need to up my water consumption at home. I'll try keeping a bottle at my desk!

One habit I've gotten into is having a drink after I go to the toilet. I used to keep a glass next to the bathroom sink and fill that after I'd washed my hands and drink it. Now the habit is so ingrained I go straight to the kitchen and have a drink from my cup that lives next to the tap.

We all know that water is good for us, but often the reasons are a little fuzzy. And even if we know why we should drink water, it's not a habit that many people form. But there are some very powerful reasons to drink lots of water every day, and forming the habit isn't hard, with a little focus. Water is one of the best tools for weight loss, first of all because it often replaces high-calorie drinks like soda and juice and alcohol with a drink that doesn't have any calories. But it's also a great appetite suppressant, and often when we think we're hungry, we're actually just thirsty.

Hey all

I kind of have a similar hack.

I fill up a big bottle of water and tell myself that I have to drink it all before the day is done.

Since I usually take the bottle everywhere I go it's always on my mind that I have to get through that big bottle of water.

Me too, hardly ever go to the fridge to get water, but if i have a bottle next to me I will be sipping on that thing all day and easily go through 1.5 - 2 litres a day!

I used to find it very difficult to drink water and I thought drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day was unnecessary. I was so wrong.
Now I am able to drink 2L of water a day quite easily. I think it's just a matter of getting your body used to drinking water. And I discovered that
by drinking at least 2L of water a day, it helps with your weight loss.

I always have this bottle with me whenever I'm at home or office. It brought me no reason not to drink water! :)

The water bottle trick sure makes drinking water more accessible.
I love drinking water. I would drink it tap.
If i ever drink cold water, i would usually get a cold after that.
I would just sip the water so i my belly won't feel heavy.
I would also drink 15mins. before meal, this was i don't feel too hungry. :wink:
