Well, it's been a while! Since my last post I've had another baby and both are rambunctious little children now. Unfortunately, I've gained about 10 kilos since I last frequented the forum, too. :(

While it's a lot quieter here than ten years ago, I plan on jumping back in to keep myself accountable. I have added incentive to lose weight: I have started roller skating with my daughter, who is now nine years old. I've had a couple of falls and really I need to lose weight to skate safely. So I plan on watching my calories and walking daily until I get under 80kg, then I'll start jogging and eventually roller skating again!

Hopefully a few of the old souls are still about. I hope you are all doing well!

cheers,
EWQ

Okay, I'm a bit embarrassed to post my current weigh-in since it's so much higher than my last (which admittedly was around nine years ago!)

81.9kg

I was just under 80kg before Christmas. Then Christmas happened  . I've also probably got a bit of 'water weight' too because of the hot temperatures recently. Anyway, this is my current starting point. I aim to lose around 0.5kg per week until I get to a healthy weight, probably around 66kg. The first milestone is getting below 80kg, at which point I would be overweight and not obese.

Target dates
1 March: under 80kg.
1 July: under 75kg.
1 December: under 70kg.

On the upside I had blood test results back that show my blood-sugar and cholesterol levels are all good. I'm low on vitamin D, but I've always been low on vitamin D. I'll be taking extra vitamin D tablets from now.

cheers,
EWQ

Great to see you here, JP!
The journey is continuing slowly, which is fine. As long as the weight is headed in the right direction I'm happy.
Currently 81.6 so that's a bit less than my last weigh-in. I'm cutting down on my alcohol and making healthier choices for snacks. I need to increase my exercise. I thought working from home would make that easier, but it just seems to extend my workday by a few hours

Quick update: I have increased my exercise and need to decrease my alcohol again (damned lockdown drinking!)
Currently hovering around 80.9 so while the weight is going slowly at least it is going.

79.9 kg! I'm now officially overweight, not obese. :D
At least one hour of walking each day.
    Hand-weights every second day.
    Counting calories in MyFitnessPal.

I'm happy it's working. It's taking longer than I'd like, but at least I know I'm following a lifestyle I can maintain in the long term.

I hope everyone else is finding success in their journeys too!

cheers,
