Thanks Blitz

Been hard going this week - hubby brought home a cold, so Wed I had no energy and balance, and I ATE (made we feel better at least)! Trying to eke out some training while keeping this illness in a manageable state and worrying about how it will progress - he's snotty and I need all the air I can get. I'm about to go to bed early with migraine meds (any sickness will make everything else join in), so hopefully I will wake up stupendously well tomorrow.

week 0 pm: 64, am: 61.7
week 1 pm: 61.9, am: 60.4
week 2 pm: 63.2 am: 62.1
week 3/4? pm: 62.6, am: 61.9
week 5 pm: 62.7, am: 61.3
week 6 pm: 62.1, am: 61.2
week7 pm: 61.8, am: 61.1
week 8pm: 61.7, am: 60.8

The best you can do for colds is pace yourself, get plenty of sleep and keep the liquids up.

Good steady numbers - good steady work! :D

Thanks Blitz.

The good news? I WON!!

The bad news? Today I ended up in emergency. No training and rest for a few days.

And tomorrow I'll get back to healthy eating - I have eaten a mountain of red frogs and chocolate in the past 24hrs!! Sugar really perks you up...until you have to go through withdrawals (starting tomorrow, sigh, again).

Congrats! You worked hard...and it is usually the ones who worked the hardest that get the results! Be proud of your achievement! 8)

ergh, so I have viral pneumonia and only 1/4 of my lungs are working properly. It's been a stupid week in terms of exercise -not permitted to train, and now I'm allowed but I've been in a major pain episode and couldn't move, other family members needing to go to Drs so just so busy... I've managed 3 pilates sessions, and one light training session; haven't even been able to get the time/peace to visualise.

I'm on track with eating. But the calories will be up because I'm drinking orange juice - it (and all my supplements) really help. And I'm not drinking much milk because I'm trying not to let mucous come to plague me. So, not hopeful on the scales for tomorrow...

It may not be as bad as you think. Nothing like a good sickness to up your metabolism! You will find that your body is burning extra calories trying to fight off your sickness.

Rest, drink fluid and get better! :D

Seems as though it wasn't as bad as I thought - my dress felt a bit loose last night (I had a gig, thankfully made it through although my lungs were burning).

week 0 pm: 64, am: 61.7
week 1 pm: 61.9, am: 60.4
week 2 pm: 63.2 am: 62.1
week 3/4? pm: 62.6, am: 61.9
week 5 pm: 62.7, am: 61.3
week 6 pm: 62.1, am: 61.2
week7 pm: 61.8, am: 61.1
week 8pm: 61.7, am: 60.8
week 9 pm: 61.6, am: 60.6

It seems rather silly that it has taken 2 months to drop just one kilo, but I have to keep reminding myself that I've added muscle. Had some really nice compliments about muscles looking really strong, or being 'ripped' though my back. So all in all, it's good, and helpful to be tracking it all here!

Didn't I say it wasn't going to be so bad?

Getting healthy and toned beats just losing weight for the sake of it any day. 8)

Good work. :D

Well, back from my travels and now have technology again. Comp was really good level (so no placing for me), and the travels were a bit hard with hard beds that upset my neck/shoulder (so I danced stiff), and the difficulties of food. Back to home now, and got to get back on track after a week and 2 days of stupid eating. I imagine the damage will show up in the next 2 weeks on the scales - although I'm now sick with another cold, so maybe the weight will not show because my muscles will waste away (all not good). Anyway, back with the programme. Last weigh in was 60.8.

Travel tends to kill good healthy routines.
Settle back in, get over the cold and continue to live a healthy lifestyle.
Your fitness and muscles will recover very quickly once you get back into the swing of things again.

Did you have fun?...that's the main thing isn't it?

Just flicked through the thread, had a rough read.

Going well Tam!

On the first page you noted that you weight both evening and morning.

I suffer from GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), and if I have a bad meal, even one, my weight can balloon up as my stomach has made lots of excess stomach acid, I get bloated and sick.

Weighing of an evening is always ALOT larger for me, due to bowel/bladder full and stomach acids.

Even when I eat helthy small meals, by days end my stomach acid has crept up a little, luckily if I eat well and never over eat by morning the acid is gone, if I eat bad the excess stomach acid can hang around for days.
High : 136 Kg (Oct 2006)
Low : 76.6 Kg (Mar 2007)
Current : 87.15 Kg (13th Aug 2014)
Goals. : 78-79kg Kg
Maximum Allowed: 81 Kg

Hey Andy,
I so hear you!!!
I suffer from this also, and was on Losec for the heartburn it caused but since losing weight the symptoms have virtually disappeared. (thank goodness). However I still can't eat large meals, these days not because of the GERD but because my stomach just can't handle heavy/large meals in the evenings. Food tends to sick like a brick if it's too close to bedtime (even hours before). :(

Which is why on my current weight loss I start with bigger meals and it get's less as day goes on.

500 Calories for creakfast, 450 for Lunch and 400 for Dinner, usually an afternoon snack as well. Around 1450-1500 Calories a day.

My chronic reflux cleared up completely once I started eating healthy and got my portion sizes under control. 8)
It was one of the unlooked for benefits of weight loss and getting a healthy lifestyle. :D
