Woo hoo!!! Lost a full 2kg this week (down from 65.7 to 63.7) and am over the moon!!! Can't believe I've completely skipped the 64's and am now less than 4kg from goal!!! Wow (still stoked)

The sooner you get to goal - the better it will be for you.
So keep pressing forward to that victory line! I'll be waiting there with a towel so you can mop the sweat up!

Thanks Kim,
I gotta say, I'm still in shock!! It's been a long road, and goal is sooooooooooo close that I still can't believe I'm nearly there, and that I've come this far??!!
As for the sweat, yep.....I'm going to keep pushing on even though the gym training staff and my doctor keep telling me to "ease off" the exercise!!!
I mean really???????? I'm almost there and everyone is telling me to let up/slow down......I don't get it????????

Nothing new about that.
Towards the end of my journey I was getting all that too.
Let's face it - the chooks are starting to come back home to roost.
Weight loss is basically about stressing your body enough for it to surrender fat deposits.
That is why my first word when I hit goal was "finally"...I had had enough of pushy pushy all the time.
I told my wife near the end of the journey how tired I was of the weight loss grind.
She thought it was some sort of quitting talk and started to encourage me not to quit...I had to put her right...I wasn't about to quit (worked too bleeding hard to stop now) - it was that I just wanted to express the grind of it all.
That is why I finally went for broke and pushed out the last few kilos in a goodly fashion - I wanted it to end!

The good news is that when you get to maintenance the grind and stress goes away. That drawn famine look that all your family and friends worry about settles down as your body redistributes it's body reserves and you look "normal".

As for doctors... ...mine wanted me to stop losing weight when I still had 30 kilos to go!
Unfortunately the average doctor knows very little about the realities of weight loss.
Their training in this area is generally woeful.

Well, just 3.7kg (actually 3.6 as of this morning) and I'll be at goal. Woo hoo!!! Can't wait to see that magic number on my scales....it's been a longggggggggggg road.
I will then post my "before" and "after" shots, and maybe even a few progressive shots that I took along the way!!!

Indeed it will be!! I'm sure you can relate to this Kim, there's been many a time when I've sat in my drenched state for a tad longer simply because being wet was keeping me cool especially when the breeze was blowing....may have been nice for me during those warmer days but I daresay not so pleasant for anyone around me??!!

As awesome as it is to be almost at the finish line, I am trying desperately not to overdo it, and it is hard because I want sooooooooooo much to get through this that I push a little harder than I should. I need to listen to my body, and when "enough is enough" I need to back off (at least for a day). I will try not to overload my poor body to the point of injury, that would be defeating the whole purpose.
Thanks for the reminder Tams, though not wanting to slow down lest it delays reaching my destination, it's important for me to hear and (more importantly) actually heed this very sound advice for my own well being.

Sometimes I have...but mostly I sit there a tad longer simply because I'm too tired out to move!
