100 gm of Fat

Hello, do you know me?
If you don’t, you should. I’m 100 grams of fat,
And I’m the HAPPIEST 100 grams of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It’s because no one ever wants to lose me;
I’m ONLY 100 grams, just a 100 grams!
Everyone wants to lose 500 grams, 1 kg, or 5 kgs, but never only 100 grams.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is, until I’ve grown to 1kg, 2kgs, 5kgs or even more kgs in weight.
Yes, its fun being 100 grams of FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, “Oh, I only lost 100 grams.”
For you see, if you do this, you’ll encourage others to keep me around because they’ll think I’m not worth losing.
And, I love being around you – your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.

Great thought - well expressed Natasha! 8)

Just the other day I made a similar point to a friend.
I said even though my goal was to lose 87 kilos - that was the background.
My main aim was doing my best each day to make my weigh in weight number lower than the day before.
Every day I would record my weight in my book and next to the number write the difference from the day before.
If the number was higher then I put a star next to it. If there was no change I would underline the .0 - and let the number stand alone if it was a loss.
I would record each month on a new page and note my weekly weigh ins that fell in that month on the page.
Even today I still record my daily weigh ins.

It is amazing to look back and see how all those little 100 grams added up until finally they had me at goal weight.
My weight loss results were never spectacular.
I never had one of those "Biggest Loser" weeks but by just keeping keeping on I made it.

Small sure steps are better in the end than big erratic ones. :)

Was: 153.7kg
Lost: 87kg
Now: keeping it off for life!
