July's Photo Scavenger Hunt - Time to vote!

OK I'm SO sorry that this is so mish mash.. but all the pictures are different sizes and i get very picky about losing photo quality by squashing things SORRY... But this is my mosaic if you can call it that lol...



OK a bit of a descrption...

Smile - Just a mouth smiling.. You have no idea how bad all that lip gloss tasted
Companionship - These are my two cats.. The black cat is the oldest and I got the brown and black cat as a companion for her when i was busy studying and half living at my bf's house.. she was lonely
Hands - A hand doing what it loves doing best.. playing guitar
Youth - This is my partners son... We don't get to see him anymore because of problems between her and him.. But we do love him.
International Culture - Rice and chop sticks! That can be SO many cultures.
Shiny - A motobike.. that could really double as vintage but i thought shiney, I got something nicer for vintage..
Fierce - Fire.. It keeps us warm, but it also ravages our forrests.. and peoples homes and belongings.
Water - This is Sheoak Falls near Lorne.. I took this photo on our holiday about a year ago.
Play - We were trying to cook the cat... NO JOKING we were playing around!!
Vintage - I'm sure my grandmother wouldn't like being called vintage.. But I was SO stuck on this picture, so I looked up its definintion to see if I could get anything to spring to mind.. Alot of definitions relating to wine.. but a non-wine related one: "Representing the high quality of a past time"... My grandmother has always been there for me and always will be.. I love her so much and she is the high quality of her time
Pretty - Thats my eye.. Just so you know. I took it as a joke one day, and realised how beautiful the lines and swiggles in it were, and the different colours in there that just look like the one from a-far...
Mechanical - Pure evil themselves. Mechanical scales..

I've got my 12 ready to go just need to load it into a mosiac so will do that tomorrow & post it here.

Had a ball trying to find these, hopefully we can do it again next month.

I wonder how many people we will get!

Ok here is my mosaic.



1. Smile - was going to do a close up of a smile but then I thought of these kinds of smiles so I drew one instead
2. Companionship - just 2 little fishies I have made from murano glass
3. Hands - My handprint in the sand
4. Youth - a little seeding of my tomatoes coming up in my veggie patch
5. International Culture - I was stuck on this one so just used a picture of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi
6. Shiny - My toaster. I really wanted to take a picture of a bald mans head but didn't want to offend them.
7. Fierce - this is the shark show just near my house
8. Water - Phu Quoc harbour taken from the plane
9. Play - lots of things to play with in the resort we stayed in
10. Vintage - propeller at Rainbow Beach taken at Christmas when I was there
11. Pretty - my wedding rings
12. Mechanical - the water meter

Companionship: Me and EWK, taken at his brother's wedding
Hands: I took a little artistic license with this one. I figured paws were much the same, but from a non humanly-biased sort of way. Plus it was the cutest photo so I couldn't not use it!
Youth: A friend's baby
International culture: My sister's fabulous Buddha statue
Shiny: An arty-farty christmas tree I made last year
Fierce: My cranky kitteh. Especially fierce if we've forgotten to feed her.
Water: Taken at Albert Park Lake
Play: A balsa wood puzzle I made in first year of my design degree
Vintage: A brass ewer I inherited from my oma and opa
Pretty: Part of a gorgeous applique wall hanging made by my mum-in-law
Mechanical: My new wall mounted weight driven clock.

And here is the illustration (done for my own amusement and not part of the official competition).

Hands: Enlarged hands on both humans
Youth: The little girl
International culture: The kimonos
Shiny: Sunlight
Fierce: The older woman
Water: The fish and the octopus are swimming in it
Play: The fish and the octopus playing cards
Vintage: Bit of a cheat here. I used the fob watch for both this and for 'mechanical'
Pretty: Patterns in the boat and from the water
Mechanical: The fob watch again. I meant to include more mechanical stuff but the picture was busy enough already!

This was really fun! I'm looking forward to next month's challenge.

Thats totally fine. We started a little late this month anyway so thats not a problem!
