We went and saw this last week and I have to say I was really suprised how good it was.

I went with a pretty low expectation and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

I'd give it a 7.5/10

While I liked it, I was a bit dissapointed. I thought I would be more scared!!! It wasnt... sneaky enough.

I wasn't scared but I was on the edge of my seat for most of it!!

It takes alot to scare me in a movie!!

haha Its amazing how people are either loving or hating this!! I suppose its like that with all movies!!

Yes. I'd give it 4 stars out of 4. I thought it was clever, brilliant. It really felt like a snippet/snapshot of an event. There was tension, but I thought it was more about following the characters and how they dealt with their fear, rather than about how scared it would make you.

Saw Cloverfield at last.. obviously waited till it came out on vid.. would have liked to have seen it on big screen.. was good, left me wanting to know more and apart from the obvious flaws the storyline didn't really leave too many inconsistencies.. but I have a couple obviously

The monster did a lot of travelling up and down town it seems.. one minute he's throwing the statue head down that road (incidentally he then walked down that road, you saw all the destruction but the head was in exactly the same spot - he must have stepped over it ) and the next minute he is up town attacking Beths apartment and then he is back downtown attacking the Brooklyn Bridge.. then up town again.. you get what l mean?

Also when the helicopter crashed in the end... the copter is flying over the city and toward the statue of liberty part of Manhattan yet when the copter is shown crashed on the ground, the copter is in Central Park, which really would be a long way, even if the pilot had some control which he didn't seem to have..

But anyway I'm pendantic..

Did you notice the meteorite fall into the ocean right at the end of the tape? when they were at the beach?????

No I didnt damn.. will have to watch out for that next time.. am assuming you mean when they were at Coney Island which was what a month before the attack? did see a few of the other movie monster references in the movie though..

yep thats it. You see a meteor fall into the ocean quite far off. So you assume thats where the monster must have come from. JJ Abrams is already saying there might be a sequel which will be of another person filming it happen.

yeah I googled around.. says that meteorite might have 'woken' it up from a deep sleep?
