I think it is tempting to try all sorts of fad diets when u only have a few kgs to lose, but at the end of the day if u are not going to maintain it then its not really worth doing. I watched a documentary on detoxing a while back. There were 3 people who all had their health checked before and after the 7 day detox and they actually came out worse because it put so much stress on their system. i am not 100% sure which detox diet they followed, but I am pretty sure it was the Liver cleansing one.
I would suggest making some small changes to your eating and exercise habits that you will be able to maintain. Sit down and take some time to think about where you are actually going wrong. Most of the time its something quite simple like: eating too large portions, eating too many processed foods, eating too much chocolate, not eating enough fruit and vegetables, drinking too much alcohol, cooking with too much fat, not eating enough protein which can lead to sugar cravings, not eating frequently enough, not eating enough calories in a day, eating too many calories in a day, not exercising and the list goes on and on...
So be truthful with yourself, what is it that is stopping you from losing those last few kgs, and how badly do you want it? If you are interested in getting some helpful hints then here is an article I wrote about the topic:
