sorry for the late reply....
I was a deceased estate (old guy who had lived in the house with him mum until his mum died and then he recently died in hospital). VERY run down and built in 1964 (housing dept apparently) with ORIGINAL kitchen

. But has fantastic potential!!
Structurally fantastic, floorboards are unpolished (crappy carpets) but immaculate condition - like they were put in yesterday! Weatherboards desperately need a paint and the shed needs a rebuild. Both kitchen and bathroom need redoing but basically it's all cosmetic, only a little cutting and shutting to be done.
Garden is not much to speak of, but then it's only going to get trampled on during the renovating.
It's not in the best area, but the suburb is on the improve rather than decline and we've spoken to most of the neighbours who seem great.
As yet we have not seen anything better in the price range - which it good because it was all we could afford. And it's about 40 min cycle on the bike track from the city according to the neighbours who also cycle.
All in all, we're chuffed!
35kg lost. (November 2005 - October 2006)
15kg gained again (as at October 2010).
Back to the drawing board - Let's do this thing!
"You can't change the winds, but you can change the sails"
"Reach out and take control of what lands in your lap"
