This is a delicate and great tasting slice that is perfect to make when you don’t have access to an oven or do but don't want to turn it on.

Keep in mind this is a very delicate slice and needs to be kept cold as once it comes to room temp the honey and butter which is keeping it together will melt.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup sultanas
  • 2 tbsp. pumpkin or pepita seeds
  • 1/4 cup bran, unprocessed
  • 3 tbsp. honey
  • 50g butter
  • 1/4 cup Craisons or cranberries
  • 1 tbsp. sunflower kernels

Method

  1. Spray a non-stick slice pan, lined with baking paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl add all dry ingredients and mix.
  3. Heat honey and butter on low heat or in microwave until all incorporated.  Mix into the dry ingredients until all incorporated.
  4. Spread out into your pan evenly and leave in fridge for a few hours until hardened.
  5. Carefully slice with a knife; this is a delicate slice so use a spatula to take out.  Make sure you keep in fridge.
