Falafel Balls Recipe

This Falafel Balls recipe makes the perfect weight loss entertaining dish.

The main ingredient of Falafel Balls is chickpeas, which are low in fat and salt and contain no cholesterol.

Healthy Entertaining Recipe :  Falafel Balls

Recipe Serves:

This Recipe makes 24 Falafel balls.

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 cans of chickpeas, drained
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 spring onions diced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Recipe Method:

  1. Heat oven to 200C-220C (depending on oven).
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a food processor to a paste like consistency.
  3. On an oven tray line with baking paper and spray with olive oil. 
  4. Roll the mixture into little balls and place on oven tray and spray the balls a little with spray bake on high heat for 15 mins turning half way.

Additional Comments:

Serve with Tzatziki, hummus, lettuce and tomatoes in pita bread.

Use as part of a mezze plate.

Instead of rolling into balls make them like patties and BBQ for vegetarian burgers.

Make balls smaller, place on large plate, drizzle with tzatziki and put a toothpick in each one for entertaining appetizers.
